Getting started with Analytics

You've got a website, it looks great! But how do you know if it's reaching its potential?

Analytics can tell you:

  • How many visitors you have.
  • Where your visitors came from.
  • What they're interacting with on your website.
  • How long they spent there.
  • If they encountered any errors.
  • Where customers are most likely to leave your site.

..and so much more - there's a plethora of presets to be found in Google Analytics, but you can think totally out of the box by utilising something called Events.

Events are specific actions that you choose to track. For example, every time a visitor scrolls 100% down the page, you can track that as an event. You can create custom events using Google Tag Manager - I'll tell you more about that later!

What I can do:

  • Set up GA4 and Google Tag Manager for your website.
  • Implement Google Consent Mode, User-Provided Data collection, and Enhanced Conversions.
  • Create custom events for GA4 using Google Tag Manager.
  • Audit Google Tag Manager and provide recommendations for use.
  • Create custom dashboards using Google Looker Studio and Power BI.
  • Link BigQuery to GA4 for greater capacity to store and process data.
  • Use SQL to pull data from Google BigQuery into Power BI and Looker Studio.
  • Diagnostics for site outages and anomalies.
